A Safe and Fun Adventure for the Whole Family Our Family Rafting Course is designed for calm waters and gentle flow, making it ideal for families with young children. Children as young as 3 years old can join, and the tour focuses on playing in the river, feeling nature, and creating fun memories together. While the route is different from the standard course, everything else—including equipment, safety measures, and photo service—is the same. If you have young kids who may not be ready for the stronger rapids of our main tour, this is the perfect choice.

Reception
Registration for the morning course begins at 9:00 at the Hozugawa Rafting Base. If you are late, your reservation will be canceled on the day, so please arrive with plenty of time. After registration, you will be asked to fill out the necessary paperwork. *The Hozugawa Rafting Base is a 5-minute walk from Umahori Station on the JR Sagano Line (Sanin Main Line). *If you are coming by car, it is conveniently located about 10 minutes after exiting at Shino Interchange on the Kyoto Jukan Expressway. For parking, there is a paid parking lot in front of Torokko Kameoka Station.
Meeting and briefing
We will start providing you with information to help you have a fun day. We will introduce you to our reliable guide who will make the tour enjoyable and explain the schedule for the day. We will also give an explanation about the Hozugawa rafting course, so please listen carefully. The tour not only involves rafting, but also various other activities such as boating and diving down the river.
Change of clothes and preparation for the experience
After changing in the changing room, we will provide you with helmets, life jackets, wetsuits, and other equipment appropriate for the weather of the day, so that you can spend your time safely and comfortably in the great outdoors without stress. During the summer, you can participate in activities in comfortable clothing such as a T-shirt and pants over your swimsuit (please wear 100% polyester material, not cotton).
Move to the starting point, safety briefing, lecture
You will travel to the starting point with your guide. At the starting point, you will listen to a safety briefing prepared under the supervision of a Rafting Association certified instructor, and you will learn how to enjoy the tour and how to avoid danger. Your guide will provide detailed instructions on how to row and get on the boat to ensure a safe and enjoyable tour, and to ensure that even first-time participants can participate with confidence.
Tour
It's finally time for the Hozugawa River rafting to begin. As soon as we get on the boat, our excitement rises. Now, the tour begins, and we can enjoy the great outdoors to the fullest. The key is for all team members to work together as one.
Goal, disbandment
Once we reach the finish point, we will return to the meeting point, the Hozugawa Rafting Base, and those who have changed will be dismissed.

- Children in the 3rd year of preschool and above (children in the 3rd year of preschool and elementary school must be accompanied by a guardian)
- Restrictions
- For safety reasons, pregnant women and those who have been drinking alcohol cannot participate. Please note that your reservation will be canceled on the day.
- What to Bring
- Comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting wet ※Must be chemical fiber material
- Shoes with fixed heels you don't mind getting dirty ※Water shoes, beach sandals, etc. are not permitted.
- ※Rental shoes(300yen)
- Swimsuit, change of clothes, towel, etc.
- If you wear glasses, please bring disposable contact lenses or goggles.
- Additional Info
- If you are late for the meeting time, the tour will be cancelled and a 100% cancellation fee will be charged. Please allow yourself plenty of time.
- The tour will be held even in the rain. If the tour is cancelled, we will contact you so please do not make any decisions on your own.
- For safety reasons, we may separate participating groups when assigning boats.
- If you are driving, the parking lot in front of Torokko Kameoka Station is convenient (surrounding parking lots start from 1,000 yen for half a day)
- The meeting and departure point is the Hozugawa Rafting Base.
- This offer cannot be used in conjunction with other discounts during the promotion period.
